Great Clips uses training, meetings, and events to help new franchisees get off to a great start so they can grow profitable businesses, creating a legacy for themselves and their families
Earlier this week, new Great Clips franchisees gathered in Minneapolis for “Building Your Legacy,” one of the orientation workshops offered to new franchisees.
It’s an exciting and driven few days when attendees do a deep dive on just about every aspect of franchising. During this time, they also have the chance to meet the Great Clips, Inc. corporate team and executives, and bond with each other as they begin their new business venture.
One of the most valuable activities they engage in is the Franchisee Roundtable during which they get to ask questions of current franchisees. It’s a great opportunity to learn firsthand from experienced franchisees who know what it’s like to start a walk-in hair salon business.
Attending this workshop is an important milestone in a new franchisee’s career not just because of what they learn about opening their first salon, but perhaps more important, what they discover about building a legacy business. That word—legacy—is an important one at Great Clips. It’s the centerpiece of the Great Clips franchisee promise: “Great Clips inspires you to achieve your legacy.”
Here’s how we described this concept in an earlier blog post:
“The meeting is called Building Your Legacy because that’s our goal in everything we do—giving franchisees the chance to learn as much as they can so they can grow profitable businesses, creating a legacy for themselves and their families. In order for them to do that, they need to know about the company, the expectations of being a franchisee and how to build a great foundation for their business.”
